Idaho’s David Rush and his son Peter have claimed the Guinness World Record for fastest time to clear Hungry Hungry Hippos by a team of two, completing the task in just 5.8 seconds. Rush, who holds the most concurrent Guinness World Records titles, said Peter approached him months ago about breaking a record together as a father-son team. “We sifted through ideas, explored categories and looked for something that was not only achievable, but fun and something that we could truly enjoy together,” Rush wrote online. The pair practiced to beat the previous record of 8.91 seconds before their successful attempt. “With cameras rolling, hearts pounding, and that familiar mix of nerves and excitement, we launched into our official attempt,” Rush said. The achievement marks Peter’s first world record. Rush said they “created a memory that will outlast any record.” (Story URL)
