The Greatest Showman is making the move to London’s West End, bringing the hit film’s music and story to Theatre Royal Drury Lane in spring 2027.
The new production follows a sold-out premiere run at the Bristol Hippodrome. The West End announcement confirms that Oliver Tompsett will return as P.T. Barnum, with Samantha Barks reprising her role as Charity Barnum. Ben Joyce, Vajèn van den Bosch and Malinda Parris are also set to return.
The stage version features songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, including This Is Me, Rewrite the Stars, The Greatest Show and Never Enough. New songs have also been written specifically for the musical.
Tim Federle wrote the book, while Casey Nicholaw serves as director and choreographer. The production combines musical theater with circus performances, aerial sequences and magic.
The show is based on the 2017 film and marks the first 20th Century Studios movie adapted for the stage by Disney Theatrical Group. Additional casting, performance dates and ticket information will be announced separately.
