SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tennessee (WDEF) – A 2 year old with cerebral palsy on signal mountain has been given a very special gift.
Jacob Phipps was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was just one years old.
The Phipps’ family was gifted and presented a fully customized, off-road capable, adaptive bike designed by Freedom Concepts Catholic Charities of East Tennessee.
“He is unable to ride just a regular bike so this will provide support with straps and seating to be able to help him sit up in it. Adaptive equipment like this can be really expensive. its not something that you can just go to the store and buy. We would probably not be able to do this on our own. We are so thankful,” says Sorrel Phipps, Mother of Jacob Phipps.
This new bike will give Jacob a lot more mobility as he continues to grow.
