Tractor trailer loses load, causes I-24 backup

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A tractor trailer lost its load on I-24 eastbound Friday evening and was blocking two lanes of traffic.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Rae Anne Bradley posted the incident to X at around 5 p.m.

This traffic incident is at mile marker 180, just east of Market Street.

By 6 p.m., the truck was blocking one lane of traffic and the shoulder.

TDOT crews were on scene Friday evening assisting with traffic control.

Drivers should take an alternate route at this time.
